Abhishek Meeting Up With Salman’s Interest

There have been rumours lately that Salman Khan has found a love interest in the German model turned actress Claudia Ciesla. However Claudia seen chatting up with Abhishek Bachchan at the on going 62nd Cannes Film Festival. Claudia is at the festival to promote her Indian film Karma: Crime, Passion and Reincarnation. The actress had done a cameo appearance in the film.

Going back to the Salman connection, Claudia met Salman at some party when she was in India to dub for the film. Salman was impressed by the model at that time and promised her that he will give her role in his forthcoming film. Later when Claudia visited his house, Salman had sent a car to pick up her from the hotel she was staying.

However, Abhishek and Claudia seen enjoying each other’s company. One source from the event said, “Claudia met Abhishek at the festival as well as Subhash Ghai. She was seen having an animated conversation with Abhishek and he too was listening intently to her. Claudia also spoke to him about her film Karma… and about her shooting experience in Ooty.”

French Producer Wants To Cast The Bachchans

As Abhishek Bachchan is at Cannes accompanying wife Aishwarya Rai, seems like have impressed the filmmakers out there and receiving film offers. Manuel de la Roche, the Paris based producer wants to cast father-son Bollywood duo Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan for his next film.

French director Jan Kounen will direct the film, which is named as The Secret History of the Dalai Lamas. The director will soon approach the Bachchans with the acting offers for the film in lead roles.

Roche said, “The film will trace the history of the Dalai Lamas all the way from 14th century. It will blend dramatized re-enactments involving the earlier incarnations with excerpts from an interviews with the current Dalai Lama.”

Other than these Bollywood actors, the film will also cast Hollywood biggies Sharon Stone and Richard Gere.

“We are very keen to cast the father and son duo in key roles in the film. Sharon Stone (who is a practicing Tibetan Buddhist) will step in as the narrator, while Hollywood star Richard Gere will also be involved with the project,” added the producer.

Shooting for the film start later this year and will be shot mainly in Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh and some other parts of Indian subcontinent. It will be ready to hit theaters in the second half of 2010.

The father son duo had earlier worked together for films Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna and Sarkar Raj. However will soon appear together in R. Balakrishnan’s Pa.

Abhi-Ash Not Leaving Their Family Home

There were rumors in the tinsel town created by some actress and her over-active publicist that Abhishek and Aishwarya Bachchan are moving from their family home Jalsa to their own house Naivedya, in Bandra. There were reports that the couple is waiting to finish Mani Ratnam’s Ravan to enter into their new home. But when it asked to the couple who is in Mumbai right now and in Jalsa, they laughed and dismissed it.

“I’m clueless about its origin,” said Aishwarya.

She later added, “It’s strange how people jump to conclusions. Once when I visited my father in hospital, the buzz was that I was going for a check-up to the maternity ward! Abhishek and I are at home in Jalsa.”

One could rarely believe the rumors after seeing the positive air between the Bachchan family members and at their bungalow. Amitabh also once written on his blog when Abh-Ash returned to home for a break from Ravan, “The house is complete… and full! Abhishek and Aishwarya came back… There is something about completeness in a family. The house begins to smell right, the furniture, the lights, the food, everything about it suddenly comes to life. Such an endearing moment.”

Also one of the family friends of Bachchans said, “If Abhishek and Aishwarya decide to live in their own place, his parents would be as supportive of his decision as they always have been in everything he has done. But Abhishek would never leave his family home. And Aishwarya would never let him. She knows what family means, especially after her father’s illness when Abhishek stood by his in-laws like a son. Yes, the Bachchans do have property in Bandra. But so what? No one is going anywhere. Other stars have property all over Mumbai. How come no one ever talks about them relocating?”

Spotted:Aishwarya and Abhishek at Airport

Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan were spotted at Mumbai airport on Friday night. The couple, dressed in white tees and denims, were off to the US for the premiere of Pink Panther 2. A source reveals, "Abhishek had returned from Orchha, where he was shooting for Mani Ratnam's Raavan, the previous day. Before leaving, he distributed his film, Delhi-6's music CDs to the crew of Raavan."

The new track Desi Girl has Priyanka Chopra draped in a Manish Malhotra saree, while Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham sport suits tailored by Aki Narula. They groove to music scored by Vishal & Shekhar.
Karan Johar, the film's producer, says, "We shot this number early September in a studio in Mumbai. It is a very high-energy item song with all the three characters in the film. Farah Khan, whom I share a great relationship with, choreographed the number and since my very first movie she has done all the numbers for me. And now after settling in with her kids, she agreed to do the number with us. When she is around on the sets, everything happens in a super-fast mode and that energy is visible in the track. The album is going to hit shelves on October 3 so we are very excited about it."
